Artichoke Turkey Burgers
Makes 5 burgers
1 pound ground turkey
2/3 cup dried bread crumbs
1 large egg
2 tablespoons butter, softened
5 buns, split
1 can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1 cup Alfredo sauce, Classico
1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, bread crumbs, and egg. Form mixture into 5 even patties, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Preheat grill to medium high heat (350 to 400 degrees). Grill burgers, covered with grill lid, for 5-8 minutes per side, or until an instant read thermometer inserted in center of patty reads 165 degrees.
3. Spread butter evenly on cut sides of buns. Grill buns, cut side down, for 2 minutes, or until golden brown.
4. Meanwhile, in a medium size bowl, combine artichokes and Alfredo sauce.
5. Place turkey burgers on bottom half of buns. Top with desired amount of artichoke mixture. Cover with bun tops. Serve with homemade fries and grilled zucchini.
