Pepperoni and Green Pepper Pizza
I was dying to try a new pizza recipe from my new cookbook but knew Seth was probably looking for the basic pepperoni pizza. How do you make us both happy? Why, make not one pizza but two pizzas. Eat what you can the first night, have leftovers the next day. So here it is, the man pizza.
1 recipe basic pizza dough
20 ish pepperoni or as many as you desire
1/2 green pepper
Mozzarella cheese.. again, as much as you like! (I love cheese so our pizzas are always covered in cheese. )
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Coat pizza pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2. To make sauce, cook one can tomato sauce, one can tomato pasta, oregano, basil, salt and pepper in saucepan. Simmer 20 minutes covered.
3. Roll pizza dough on prepared pizza pan. Spread sauce evenly over dough to within 1/2 inch from edge. Cover with mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with green pepper and top with pepperoni.
4. Bake at 450 for 18 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven.
